Memorial Hospital Receives Primary Stroke Certification

Memorial Hospital has been awarded Primary Stroke Certification from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). Memorial began working on primary stroke accreditation several months ago and completed HFAP’s survey process earlier this summer.  Primary Stroke Certification recognizes Memorial Hospital’s capacity to stabilize and treat acute stroke patients, provide initial acute care, and administer tPA and other acute therapies safely and efficiently.

Memorial Offers Minimally Invasive Sinus Surgery
Chronic sinusitis is a painful condition in which the lining of the sinuses becomes inflamed and lasts three months or more.  For patients who suffer from sinusitis, typical treatment is medication.  However, up to 60 percent of chronic sinusitis sufferers do not get relief from the medication.  Memorial Hospital is now offering a minimally invasive procedure, called Balloon Sinusplasty, that opens up the sinus passages.  More...
